Usually hidden in the small print, even normal warranty coverage can cost service charges, to pay for the person that has to come out and fix their product that is having issues. More than anything, it lets you know that they aren’t all that interested in honoring their warranty. They’re passing some of the warranty upkeep costs onto the consumer, and if they consumer is discouraged by that enough to not have a service done, they entirely avoid any cost that would have been incurred fixing the problem. Sure, its entirely reasonable your product has issues, but the company that charges for service expects them, the one that doesn’t attempts to avoid them entirely.
